Meet Sharon Bailey
Sharon Bailey’s baking journey began in Jamaica, learning the time-honoured secrets of traditional fruit cake right in her mother’s kitchen. For decades, she lovingly perfected these recipes, crafting the deeply spiced, remarkably moist cakes that became legendary among family and friends.
When Sharon moved to Mississauga, she realized that the Caribbean diaspora wanted a way to share the warmth of their culture with other Canadians. To answer the need for a truly authentic, rich, moist, smooth, and flavourful Jamaican Rum Cake, she created SAB Fruit Cake. Today, she proudly preserves her culinary roots while introducing the broader Canadian community to a premium taste of Caribbean heritage.
